When leading AI-tech start up Decidr secured investment,they found themselves with ambitious growth plans – including 10 critical hires in just 3 months.
As hiring needs grew and headcount climbed, so did their need for a trusted People & Talent partner. Someone who could embed within the business, understand the realities and challenges of a founder-led start-up and set them up with a smart, scalable hiring strategy. They needed a flexible partner who could own take ownership of the full hiring journey - from attraction and engagement through to onboarding – all while helping to shape a culture that could keep pace with Decidr’s evolving needs.

The problem
Decidr’s reliance on traditional recruitment agencies was proving costly, cumbersome and the candidate quality was inconsistent. This risked slowing down growth and threatening their market opportunity. Here’s what they were up against:
• No internal TA or HR function, leaving hiring to already time-stretched founders and execs.
• Highly niche technical roles that needed deep sourcing expertise and knowledge of a competitive tech talent market.
• Recruitment agency hires kept missing the mark – they needed someone who could truly understand their needs and get hiring right.
The solution
Decidr initially partnered with Solve for a initial 3-month period, but immediately recognised Solve’s value and business impact, and extended the partnership to an 11-month contract.
Our Talent Acquisition Lead embedded seamlessly into their team, supported by our offsite sourcing team and TA advisory team. Together, we worked to build and optimise their hiring approach from the ground up. Here’s what we delivered:
• Activated Solve’s internal network and talent database of over 800k candidates to kick-start sourcing.
• Designed and implemented a centralised candidate tracking system in Airtable for full visibility across the hiring process.
• Engaged our offsite sourcing team for additional hiring support to support volumes.
• Conducted in-depth market mapping to identify and engage high-quality, niche talent pools.
• Designed and implemented a consistent end-to-end hiring process.
• Created job descriptions, recruitment packs and candidate-facing collateral aligned to Decidr’s Employer Brand and values.
• Delivered hiring manager workshops to upskill leadership, building confidence and empowering them to make better hiring decisions.
• Introduced key hiring metrics and dashboards to track performance and enable data-lead decisions.
• Collaborated to develop a compelling EVP aligned to Decidrs target audience
